Introduction to soap making  Learn how to make soap the way your grandmother used to! This ancient method of soap making has evolved and
become quite sophisticated over the years. The new formulas and quality ingredients we have today yield beautiful soaps that
are great for your skin and free of synthetics. In this workshop you will learn the basics of cold process soap making, as
well as the properties and benefits of the different oils, butters, extracts and additives. During the half day workshop you
will make 1 batch of soap and learn about the types of equipment, ingredients and different techniques.
For the 1 day course you will make several batches of soap and learn some additional techniques.
As Cold Process soap involves the use of Caustic Soda you will learn the safe ways to handle it and use all the recommended safety equipment. You will be able to choose different botanicals and essential oils to make your own personal soap product. We also run a soap making for business class which is slightly longer and covers all up to date legislation as well as packaging, marketing and soap testing.
