Patchwork & Quilting Holiday
Do you fancy a holiday on the stunning North Devon coast
whilst learning a new skill or adding new dimensions to your existing patchwork & quilting?
Our 5 day Patchwork &
Quilting course is suitable for absolute beginners and those wanting to move on from the basics. You will enjoy
5 days of un-interrupted immersion in this wonderful craft whilst making new friends and learning lots of new skills.
On arrival you will chose a project suitable for your skill level from our extensive collection of books & magazines. We
will then visit a local patchwork shop for you to buy the fabric needed for the top (wadding and backing included) as well
as enjoy a delicious lunch. We keep the student numbers down to a maximum of 5 to ensure plenty of 1-2-1 attention while
you work. If you are a beginner you will learn the basics of cutting, piecing, quilting and finishing whilst those wishing
to move on from basics will learn the construct more complex blocks & additional quilting techniques (Hand & Freemotion)
as well as hand & machine applique. Throughout the week I will demonstrate lots of tips and tricks to add to your
repertoire. Each day will include a home cooked lunch as well as plenty of tea/coffee & cake.
